Judging Rules

Fall Bagger Nationals 2025 Judging Guidelines

To ensure a fair and unbiased competition, we have implemented updated judging standards   that eliminate the potential for bias toward any participant.

Judging Panel Structure:
A total of 8 judges will officiate the event, split into two groups of 4one group assigned to the Featherweight, lightweight, and the other to Welterweight, Middleweight, Heavyweight and Extreme Classes rounds.

Front deck is:

Featherweight, lightweight and Extreme 

Rear deck is:

Welterweight, middleweight and heavyweight 

  1. Scoring Method:
    1. Each deck will have 4 judges during eliminations.
    2. After a participant completes their round, all 4 score sheets will be tallied up.
    3. The lowest score of the four will be discarded.
    4. The remaining 3 scores will be added and averaged for the final total score.
    5. Final scores will be displayed on the big screen after each class is completed and scores are tallied.
    6. Participants are welcome to review their individual judge sheets after the show concludes at the event merch booth.

For the final rounds,the top and most experienced motorcycle judges will be judging the back deck.  

  • Finals Judge Selection:
    Only 3 judges will officiate the final rounds on the back deck except for the extreme class that will remain on the front deck for finals.

Daniel Hearn
Owner of Bad Attitude Audio, specializing in full custom builds, audio tuning, and remote support. A 5-Star Certified Judge with multiple motorcycle audio wins since 2016, Daniel is also a record holder in the SLS Meter 2-speaker fairing class (131 dB). Beyond competing, he serves as an audio show promoter, judge, coordinator, and rules official. His passion for music and sound began at age 12, inspired by helping his father, Bill Hearn, with his DJ service

I’ve been in the car audio scene for over 37 years and bike audio for the last 7. I’m known for custom fabrication, one-off pieces, and specialty grills. Along with building, I’ve been judging car audio competitions for more than 15 years, including the past 5 years at SOS and the last 3 years with Bagger Nationals.

Fireman Rick Rick Riley (aka Fireman Rick)
From Camden, NJ, Rick is a Firefighter Captain and owner of Double R Transportation. He’s been riding motorcycles for over 20 years, from drag racing sports bikes to Harley-Davidsons. His passion for motorcycle audio began in 2016 with his first Harley, and he’s been deeply involved ever since. A longtime follower of TMC since 2015 and SOS since 2017, Rick studied judging from day one, attending the TMC/SOS School of Judging. By learning from some of the best in the field, he has developed strong listening skills and a sharp ear for competition-level audio.
Aaron “B’more” Butler

Aaron “B’More” Butler

Aaron entered the motorcycle scene in 2014, quickly earning respect for his passion and dedication to the culture. By 2019, he expanded into hosting and judging audio competitions, gaining a reputation for fairness and a sharp ear for quality.

Since then, B’More has judged and hosted at major events across the country, including Daytona, Falcon Fury Harley-Davidson, and Lucky Peach (formerly Thunder Tower Harley-Davidson). Known for his energy on the mic and authentic approach, he continues to grow the bike sound scene while proudly representing the culture.

Owner of BlackEye Custom Audio in Frederick, Maryland, James entered the motorcycle audio scene in 2016, making his presence known across nearly every major competition platform while building high-performance custom systems. He’s best known for creating ground pounders—systems that deliver competition-level sound without sacrificing ride quality.

In 2023, James retired from competing and stepped into judging, bringing his expertise to top-tier events including Bagger Nationals, TMC SOS, Soundbullies, Stay Tuned, and other shows nationwide.

With over 15 years of experience in the custom audio world, Deon Moon has built a reputation for delivering high-quality sound and craftsmanship across a wide range of projects. As co-owner of Xclusive Audio – Atlanta, GA, he specializes in designing and installing cutting-edge audio systems for bikes, cars, trucks, boats, and more. Passionate about both performance and creativity, Deon’s work reflects his dedication to pushing the limits of what’s possible in mobile audio.

Blue – Lake County, Florida

Blue is a seasoned motorcycle and audio enthusiast with over two decades of experience in the custom bike and sound competition scene. As the Co-founder of Elite Baggerz, he has been promoting major bike events and audio shows since 2010, including flagship events such as the Elite Baggerz Bike Rally and The Showdown.

A 5-Star Certified Judge, Blue began judging large-scale audio competitions in 2000 and has since become a respected authority in the field. His expertise and passion have made him a familiar face at top-tier events like MMS-Miami Ground Pounder, Double Down Bikeshow, and Baggerz National.

Driven by a deep love for the culture and community, Blue continues to raise the bar for excellence in custom bike and audio competitions through his work with Elite Baggerz and beyond.
